Our round up of this years Screen Media expo!

Our top 5 highlights...

1. Top of the list has to be Intel's Connected Store display. Intel offered eight innovative interactive
shopping demos including the Adidas Virtual Footwear Wall - a touch screen display which allows the
consumer to find out more information and see 3D views of a shoe before even setting foot in the store!

2. We were really impressed by the Intel AIM Suite - a software behind most of the Intel demos which
makes it possible to obtain audience data including how may shoppers interacted with the demo, for how
long, their gender and age range. You can see how it has captured mine and Sams mug shots above!

3. The new 22" Samsung LCD transparent display - very cool!
Looking forward to seeing more in this type of technology.

4. Christie MicroTiles - lots of these being used in various different ways around the exhibition.

5. Lots of 3D TV and touch screen demos to play with!

Flight Patterns...

We really like the inspiring work by the artist Aaron Koblin who uses the tracking of flight patterns
to create art!

Aaron Koblin is an artist specializing in data and digital technologies, Aaron's work takes real-world
and community generated data and uses it to reflect on cultural trends and the changing relationship
between humans and technology.

Brilliant!

Fun with Stairs...

Check out this video by www.thefuntheory.com. We really like how they are
experimenting with 'fun' to change people’s behavior - an interesting concept!

Davina's Divas

Big well done to Gaby and Emily who recently completed the DAVINA's DIVA100
- one of the biggest women only 100km bike rides in the UK!

Gaby and Emily joined Davina McCall along with hundreds of other women to raise money for
Action Medical Research - the children's charity dedicated to improving the health of babies
and children in the UK.

Gaby completed the ride in 6 hours 33 mins and Emily in 3 hours 45 mins!
Between them they raised an amazing £898!!

2LK Design Win at the 2011 DBA Awards

We are delighted to announce that 2LK Design and Intel Corporation have won a prestigious
‘Design Effectiveness Award’ at this year’s Design Business Association Awards. We were the
only exhibition design company to have been recognised, making the winning even more exceptional.
Check out our award winning entry here

Delivering design and service that constantly exceeds our client’s expectations is always the most
important accolade to us but winning recognition from the design industry in the process is something
we are also very proud of. Clients and agencies often share the honours, but rarely the actual trophy!
Winners of the Design Effectiveness Awards share the trophy itself, which comes apart into two
halves - one half went to 2LK offices in the UK, the other half went to Intel in Santa Clara.
