Sam takes to the stage..

Sam Michael, a Designer here at 2LK, has a passion for singing and song writing (as well as for design!) and took the opportunity to show off his talent this week at a music festival at the Mulberry in Farnham. When some members of his rock cover band JUICE couldn't attend, Sam decided the show must go on and did a brilliant solo acoustic set, belting out such classics as 'Stand By Me', 'Dock of the Bay' and 'Wonderful World' as well as a few of his own melodies. Well done Sam!

We think the X Factor beckons! But decide for yourself...

Grasp Pendulum

We absolutely love this installation by the brilliant ART+COM. The Grasp Pendulum is is an 8 metre high kinetic sculpture which cleverly combines both real mechanical movements with virtual and digitally input movements
to illustrate the human body and it's motor functions.

It is part of a perminant exhibition at Berlin's Medical Technology Science Centre. Take a look here
to see it in action!

Progress Packaging...

Here is a nice packaging website that I recently found. I really like the style of navigation,
using the packaging itself as a menu. They have some interesting packaging designs too.
Take a look here.

Michaella's Race for Life!

2LK Graphic Designer Michaella Smith has raised £746 (together with her friend and mum) for Cancer Research at the Race for Life, in Guildford. Michaella ran 5km in 35 minutes.

Last time she ran that quick there was a sale on!

Well Done Micky!

The museum of me...

For those of you who are on Facebook you should check out Intel's new museum of me app.
Just go to www.intel.com/museumofme/r/index.htm and click connect to Facebook.
This creates a virtual exhibition and takes you on a video tour through 'a visual archive of your social life'
Well worth a look as all part of Intel's current Visual Life campaign.
Here are some screen captures from my museum...

Cool Bus Stops

We thought this was quite cool, especially the 3M one...
